Our building…

  •  is a warm, bright and versatile facility to rent.
  •  features a 36' x 34' assembly hall, adjoining lobby and kitchen.
  •  is handicapped accessible. features a space adjustable to your needs – chairs, tables and stage can be arranged or removed as required.

Building Occupancy is 99 persons.

Contract and Certificate of Insurance
You must sign a contract for use of the space within 14 days of your event. The contract will establish the cost, time of use, specific services to be provided, number of people expected, and other conditions of rental. In some cases a deposit may be required in advance. Otherwise full payment is expected upon return of the key at the end of the event. The rentee shall be required to furnish proof of liability and property damage insurance which will indemnify Old Songs, Inc. and name it as “Additional Insured.”
Conditions of Use
  • Fire regulations and other safety codes must be observed at all times. Candles, lanterns or any other sort of decorative devices involving an open flame are not allowed. Exit doors must remain accessible and unobstructed.
  • No alcoholic beverages are allowed.
  • Insurance and indemnification clauses are a necessity.
  • Keys and Locks
    The rentee is responsible for all keys in his/her possession. Keys may not be used by unauthorized personnel.
  • Decorating is permitted upon approval of Old Songs, Inc. Absolutely no nails or tacks may be used on walls. Tape may not be applied to wallpaper.
  • Upon Conclusion of Your Event
    Facility is to be left in the condition in which it was found.
    All garbage must be bagged and put out in waste container behind building.
    Clean and place any recyclable materials in recycle bin in kitchen.
    All food brought in must be removed and nothing left in refrigerator.
    Rentee is responsible for turning off all lights, and for setting the thermostat down to 55 degrees.
    Rentee must sign out on the sign-out board provided near back door.
Parking
Behind the building: 4 handicap spaces and 3-4 other cars.
Street Parking on South Main Street: approx. 25 cars.
Voorheesville Carpet Co.: approx. 40 cars.

From Route 20/Western Ave. take Route 155 south toward Voorheesville 3.2 miles; turn right on Voorheesville Ave. Follow into village (about 1/2 mile); turn right on S. Main St. (look for Stewarts Shop at that corner). 37 S. Main is across from Stewarts. For evening events, parking is available behind Voorheesville Carpet Co. and Phillips Hardware, down the street on your right.

From Route 85/New Scotland Ave. follow southwest from Albany/Slingerlands to Route 85-A. Follow 85-A into Voorheesville 2.2 miles. Take right on Voorheesville Ave., and first left onto S. Main St. (look for Stewarts Shop at that corner). 37 S. Main is across from Stewarts. For evening events, parking is available behind Voorheesville Carpet Co. and Phillips Hardware, down the street on your right.

From Route 156/Altamont-Voorheesville Rd. follow Route 156 to Route 85-A in Voorheesville; left on 85-A. Go 0.2 miles and turn left on Voorheesville Ave., and then take first left onto S. Main St. (look for Stewarts Shop at that corner). 37 S. Main is across from Stewarts. For evening events, parking is available behind Voorheesville Carpet Co. and Phillips Hardware, down the street on your right.

Krumkill Rd. and Johnston Rd. (near Crossgates Mall) offer other possible approaches. Either will lead to Normans Kill Rd. which becomes Voorheesville Ave. See map.
