An Evening with
Nanne and Ankie

Final Concert of the 2014 Tour

Traditional and original Folk songs with Maritime and Historical themes.

8:00 PM
Tickets: $15/adults; $5/children 12 & under

Since 1980, both in groups and as a duo, Nanne Kalma and Ankie van der Meer have offered a wide repertoire of traditional as well as newly written songs in Dutch, Frisian, Esperanto, and English. Maritime and historical themes play an important role, but they also sing about humorous events from daily life, often putting music to Esperanto and Frisian poems as well as to lyrics by the Australian writer Michael Roads. In addition to singing, Nanne plays guitar, mandolin, and concertina and Ankie plays guitar.

David Munnelly &
Mick Conneely
The best in traditional Irish
Music with Fiddle, Bouzouki
and Melodeon.

8:00 PM
Tickets: $23/adults; $5/children 12 & under

“Dave and Mick are master musicians no doubt about it, they have the credentials: the track record, the bands, albums and collaborations, but here you get more than just great musicianship, you get a dialogue, a conversation happening now, not parroted lines from some slickly rehearsed ensemble, that is the real excitement here. Clearly they have practice long and hard, there are gaps and stops and changes of rhythm, which the boys hit spot on, but you’d be forgiven if you thought they’d just walked into the pub and played straight of the cuff.”—Seán Laffey (Folk World)
