Open Mic Night

7:30 - 10:30 pm. Next dates: Wednesday, February 6, March 5
Strut your stuff and share your talent! Walk in and sign up to play (fifteen minutes).
Local performer Kate Blain will host. $3 cover.

 

2nd Wednesday of the month, October to May.
Traditional Irish Slow Session

7:30 - 9pm. Next sessions: Wednesday, February 13, March 12
This is a friendly, repertoire-building opportunity to play your new tunes slowly and work on your old tunes at a reasonable tempo. We will focus specifically on traditional Irish music, and all Irish-appropriate instruments are welcome (i.e. wooden flute, tin whistle, concertina, button or piano accordion, guitar, bouzouki, mandolin, fiddle, harp). We encourage tape recorders, and focus on learning tunes by ear. Music stands and continuous use of sheet music discouraged. Bring snacks to share. Drum Circle

7:30 pm. Next dates: Wednesday, February 20, March 19
Senegalese drummer Badara Diagne will lead the circle. Some drums will be available if you do not have one. Shakers, rattles, etc. also are good to bring.
$3 donation.

 

4th Wednesday of the month
Old-Time Jam

7:30 pm. Next jams: Wednesday, February 27, March 26
NOTE: No Jam on December 26

Break out the fiddles, guitars, banjos, mandolins and more and join in playing some great southern string band music.
Hosted by the Pine Hills Stringband.
